Update – July 2020: we’re delighted to announce that the Fashion and Textile Museum is reopening from Wednesday 5 August! However, our mission for our blog remains the same and we look forward to continuing to bring you exciting digital ways to enjoy fashion and textiles!
Although our building is currently closed, it is extremely important to us that we continue to share the joys of fashion and textiles with you all during these uncertain times. Museums around the world have been working incredibly hard, developing online content to ensure as many people as possible can access arts and culture from their homes. The Fashion and Textile Museum is no exception.
Our small but dedicated team has been very busy, creating content that we hope will brighten your days with colour, texture and learning! There will be opportunities to discover exhibitions and artists, develop skills and techniques and hear from makers, curators and designers. We will be creating downloadable learning resources for young designers, sharing tutorials for all ages and bringing you up close with some of the most exciting pieces in our collection!

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Museum soon, but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy exploring fashion and textiles with us online. We’ll also be keeping you up to date via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and our newsletter – make sure you stay in touch!
