Ahead of the our up-coming online event, Zandra Rhodes in Conversation, we’ve pulled together some fabulous videos from Dame Zandra and her team, exploring some of the specialist techniques used to create her couture garments. Dame Zandra’s studio and iconic Rainbow Penthouse, located in the the same building as the Fashion and Textile Museum, are where each of Zandra’s collections are created; from mood board to finishing. Each of these videos explores an important step in this complex process.
Want to know more? Join us on Thursday 3 December for an exclusive online talk. Zandra will be in conversation with our very own Head of Exhibitions, Dennis Nothdruft.
Discover Zandra’s journey from the Royal College of Art in the 1960s, to her place among the new wave of British designers in 1970s and onwards across fifty years of ground-breaking, diverse and internationally popular collections. Zandra and Dennis will offer an exciting insight into the world of fashion, via personal experiences, adventures and anecdotes.
We do hope you’ve enjoyed exploring the Fashion and Textile Museum online. If so, please consider making a donation to help us continue our work.
